I spent 17 years leading HR in industries that don't stop:

And then I crashed.

I couldn't take 6 months off to "recover."

I had a team depending on me. Bills to pay. A reputation to protect. And honestly? I didn't even realise how bad it was until I was already in freefall.

So I did what high-performers do: I figured it out.

I went back to school. Got formal qualifications in neuroscience and coaching. Studied the actual research on stress, burnout, and nervous system regulation, not the Instagram wellness version, the clinical neuroscience.

And I tested every tool on myself first.


Some things the wellness industry sells? Completely useless when you're this far gone. But some tools, the ones grounded in neuroscience, not marketing, actually worked.

I rebuilt my nervous system while still leading a team.

I learned to recognise my early warning signals. I built systems that prevent me from ever crashing that hard again.
